Biography

Recorder player Stefan Temmingh has been compared with Frans Brüggen, the legendary Dutch player of the instrument, not only for sheer virtuosity, but also for his efforts to establish the recorder on concert stages in new ways. Temmingh was born in Cape Town, South Africa, in 1978 and moved to Munich, Germany, where he still lives and holds a lectureship at the Munich College of Music.
