Stella is Stella Santana, a vocalist and songwriter whose R&B style is informed by hip-hop and house. The daughter of guitarist Carlos Santana and author Deborah King, she grew up in Marin County, California with her sister Angelica and brother Salvador, who's also a musician. After graduating from Pepperdine University and going through a breakup, Santana relocated to Manhattan for a fresh start and started posting covers of some favorite songs to a music sharing site.
