Steve Tannen

Steve Tannen was born in New York City and grew up in Australia, Canada, and New York. Through influences at home -- including being the son of a jazz pianist and the grandson of a magician -- he started performing early and learned music at home. He studied writing at Stanford University, then developed film scripts for director Norman Jewison in Hollywood, CA. After leaving Los Angeles, he worked odd jobs and musical gigs around the United States, developing an acoustic mix of folk and rock styles.
