Indian classical singer Sukhawat (pronounced sue-ka-vat) Ali Khan is the son of Ustad Salamat Ali Khan and the nephew of Nazakat Ali Khan; his father and uncle were famed singers who toured the world, known as the "Ali Brothers." He was attracted to music at an early age and began studying the harmonium at seven.
