Sunrot

New Jersey's Sunrot combines doom, sludge, and drone metal to deliver moribund slabs of sonic misery and brutality that touch on every aspect of human suffering. Founded in 2013, the band comprises vocalist Lex Santiago, guitarists Christopher Eustaquio and Rob Gonzalez, bassist Ross Bradley, and drummer Alex Dobrowolski. After issuing an eponymous EP and a split with Buffalo tech-death outfit Inertia, Sunrot brought their cathartic, socio-political brand of heavy music to the masses with the release of their debut long-player, Sunnata, in 2017.
