With more than 500,000 albums sold over a 15-year career, Sylvain Cossette was a considerable name in the French Canadian pop scene. Born in Quebec in May 1963, Cossette first appeared on the pop music radar with Quebec-based English-language band Paradox, founded in 1984. 1994 found Cossette leaving both English (for the most part) and a band setting behind, striking out on a French-language-based solo career.
