Sylvia Striplin

Vocalist Sylvia Striplin joined Aquarian Dream for the jazz-funk/disco group's second album and stayed with them through their early-'80s breakup. Shortly after that, she became associated with Roy Ayers and his Uno Melodic label; not only was she part of the short-lived Eighties Ladies project guided by Ayers (which released a lone album, Ladies of the '80s, on Uno Melodic in 1980), but she also released some solo material with significant help from the jazz-funk legend.
