Italian pop singer Syria decided to pursue a singing career after studying drama and being convinced by Claudio Mattone to participate in San Remo's Festival in 1995. A year later, Syria released her debut album called Non Ci Sto, followed by 1997's L'Angelo. That same year, the singer returned to San Remo with a song called "Sei Tu." While her popularity was growing in the local pop music scene, Syria recorded Station Wagon in 1998 and Come Una Goccia D'Acqua two years later.
