When Gibraltar's Melon Diesel dissolved in 2003, after three successful albums, their members split into two new bands: bassist Guy Palmer and drummer Adrián Pozo formed the English-speaking Area 52, whereas lead vocalist Dylan Ferro and guitarists Dani Fa and Danny Bugeja created Taxi, with the intention of continuing Melon Diesel's brand of Spanish rock.
