Harald Walter Bernhard Schubring (better known as Ted Herold) was a popular German schlagersanger best known for his German-language covers of the songs of Elvis Presley. He made his first recording when he was only 16, having made contact with the folks at Polydor through a school chum. A full-length album's worth of Elvis covers followed soon after, at which point he adopted the stage name Ted Herold.
