Terry Winter

Brazilian singer and songwriter Thomas William Standen used several aliases throughout his career, but is mostly remembered as Terry Winter. Born in São Paulo in 1941, he began his musical journey in the early '60s singing in Portuguese. Toward the end of the decade, he adopted the name Terry Winter and passed himself off as an English-speaking foreign singer, a common marketing strategy at the time.
