The Barelyworks

Heralded as evidence of the growing popularity of tradition-rooted British music, Barely Works was together for a brief five years. Named Best Newcomer of 1990 by FolkRoots, their energetic mix of bluegrass, folk, ska, reggae, rock, pop, jazz, Latin, Celtic, country, funk, and African influences is recalled fondly more than a decade later.
