Big Bang was the solo alias of London-based Italian producer Simone Serritella, who was also half of jazz-house duo Cuica. The Big Bang sound combined swinging Latin jazz rhythms with bright keyboard melodies and soulful vocals, and was often categorized as "broken beat" or "nu-jazz." Serritella's first single as Big Bang, "Dribbling"/"Colours," arrived on U.K. label Far Out Recordings in 2000.
