The Crash Motive

Boasting a mix of commercial pop/rock and Maroon 5-styled R&B, the Crash Motive formed in the early 2000s in Newark, DE. Derek Fuhrmann (vocals, guitar) had discovered the file-sharing benefits of Napster during his freshman year at the University of Delaware; fueled by the sudden exposure to such heavy hitters as Radiohead, Pink Floyd, and Led Zeppelin, he took up the guitar and sought out musicians whose experience trumped his own.
