The Hub

Electronic musicians John Bischoff, Chris Brown, Scot Gresham-Lancaster, Tim Perkis, and Phil Stone are the Hub -- a band via their computer network of the same name which grew out of an earlier project of Bischoff's. The first computer network band, the League of Automatic Music Composers, was founded in the late '70s by Bischoff, Jim Horton, and Rich Gold. Their system didn't work as well when more musicians were connected, and changes to remedy this eventually led to the Hub.
