The Mary Onettes

Highlighted by ringing guitars and reverb-bathed vocals, the Mary Onettes music is a moody, majestic blend of icy '80s New Wave and jangling Swedish indie pop. They were one of the leading bands on the Labrador label, releasing a string of albums for them in over a decades' time. After a short break -- and a boost in visibility thanks to some fortuitous placement on a popular streaming show -- they reconvened in the 2020's with their trademark chilly sound intact.
