The PoPo

Philadelphia's The PoPo boast that they are the inventors of "post-hip hop"; if that means fusing lo-fi post-punk, simple electronics, and occasional world music flairs (influenced by the band's Middle Eastern roots) with a sort of duel talk/singing attack -- then OK. Comprised of Pops Ghostly, Fullscreen, Blue Bishi and Hamstar, the quartet signed with Buddyhead Records in August 2006.
