Biography
Retro-pop duo the Saxophones make gossamer chamber pop that combines elements of 1950s exotica, West Coast folk, smooth jazz, and bedroom pop. Formed in the California Bay Area in the mid-2000s, they released their full-length debut, Songs of the Saxophones, in 2018. The couple further elaborated on their searching, romantic style on albums like 2020's Eternity Bay and 2023's echoey To a Be a Cloud, which was recorded live to tape in a retired church.
