The Simpletones

Originally under the name The Hooter upon their formation in 1992, the original line up Cheyne (guitar), Carrie Haines (vocals), Brad Cheers (bass) and Stephen Meldrum (drums) changed it to The Simpletons on the account of their simplistic use of acoustical instruments. With Carrie parting and Cheyne taking over on vocal responsibilities, The Simpletons won over the local college crowds by being the only non-funk/ non-cover band in the area.
