The Slides

In a burst of retro charm and late-'60s charisma, the London based band the Slides made their entrance onto the British pop scene in 2003. Lead singer/guitarist Rod Da Rosa (Newport, South Wales), bass player Matt Brana-Martin (Birmingham, U.K.), drummer Colin Oldfield (Wigan, U.K.) and Hammond player Ian Compton (Surrey, U.K.) emerged as on of Britain's bands-to-be-watched in 2002 when they won the Emergenza U.K. Battle of the Bands.
