British group the Sorcerers play intoxicating instrumentals chiefly influenced by Ethio-jazz, but incorporating elements of European horror soundtracks, deep funk, exotica, and library music. Consisting of members of ATA Records' house band, they released their self-titled debut album in 2015, and soon received praise and support from Ethio-jazz pioneer Mulatu Astatke, as well as Jimi Tenor, Shawn Lee, and others. They've continued developing and refining their sound with several additional 7" singles and LPs, including 2025's Other Worlds and Habitats.
