Biography
Formed by the Frames' frontman Glen Hansard and singer/songwriter Markéta Irglová, the Swell Season are a songwriting duo with a penchant for acoustic-based songcraft, vocal harmonies, and earnest passion. The twosome enjoyed a breakout hit that also won the Oscar for Best Song: "Falling Slowly" appeared on both their 2006 eponymous debut album and the soundtrack for the next year's Once, a film about two Dublin-based musicians that also starred the duo.
