The emocore quintet Three Summers Gone (singer/bassist Chris Summers, drummer Kyle Weitzel, plus guitarists Lamar Thompson and Dan Africa) formed in March of 1998, out of the ashes of the obscure South Carolina band Blue in the Face. After relocating to San Francisco, the band appeared on a local compilation of other up-and-coming punk outfits, as well as contributing a song ("All Said and Done") to the Thrasher video Firing Squad.
