Dance duo Tigermonkey first achieved recognition for their novelty single "Do the Mobot" in 2012. Guy Katsav started his music career as an engineer after studying at The School of Audio Engineering in London. He went on to work with a number of notable artists including the Gossip, Groove Armada, and the Streets. Moving toward making his own music, Katsav was frustrated at the lack of female rappers and was introduced to Madeleine Dunbar.
