Timo Lassy

Saxophonist, composer, arranger, and bandleader Timo Lassy is a Finnish jazz institution. The saxophonist, known for his fat, round, edgy tone, is a founding member of Helsinki's globally renowned Five Corners Quintet and a member of the Jukka Eskola Quintet and the Ricky-Tick Big Band. He also leads his own band. Formerly with the U-Street Allstars and the Teddy Rock Seven, Lassy is an in-demand sideman who has worked with a who's-who on Finland's pop, R&B, and jazz music scenes.
