Tohpati

One of Indonesia's leading guitarists, Tohpati Hutomo gained a great deal of renown for both his collaborative efforts with some of his nation's most popular singers and musicians, and his own inventive jazz guitar work. Born July 21, 1971, Tohpati began playing the guitar as a youngster. At age 14 he won the Best Guitarist award at a festival in Jakarta, and 1989 would see another award of the same type, this time as the Best Guitarist in Java.
