Tom Daily

Tom Daily, AKA Tom Counihan has been a mainstay in the Chicago pop-punk scene as a former guitarist for the Smoking Popes and singer/ songwriter for Not Rebecca all through out the '90s. But as the decade came to an end, Daily shacked himself up in his bedroom with an 8-track and all his instruments to record an album full of catchy guitar hooks, lo-fi harmonies and indie-pop numbers. Resulting in the album Happy Deceiving Culture, Thick Records was more than happy to release it on their label in late 1999. Burlington Northern followeds two years later. ~ Mike DaRonco
