Biography
Puerto Rican singer Tony Vega got involved in music while participating in a teenage rock band called City Trash. Nevertheless, the young artist was finally captivated by Afro-Caribbean rhythms, especially tropical music, joining Raphy Levitt's la Selecta and working along with Willie Rosario soon afterwards. In 1986, Tony Vega moved to New York, teaming up with Louie Ramírez and making an album called Super Banda; he later performed alongside Eddie Palmieri.
