Having gotten their start in the summer of 1997, El Toro weren't afraid to show their side of heartache and lost love to their local Boston basement/ coffee house scene. Armed with only a bass guitar and some soft spoken lyrics, the band took their minimal pop approach to New York City, upon the Sandbox Records release of 1999's Good Evening Coney Island EP. ~ Mike DaRonco
