Capitalizing on and in turn bolstering a seminal St. Paul, MN, underground scene, Triangle's genesis came in 1998 when Susan Lindell and Brian Tester began toying with the idea of assembling an electronic pop band. When Lindell's old friend and like-minded electronic experimenter Amanda Warner transferred to St. Paul's Macalester College from Portland, OR, later that year, the pair invited her to join the lineup, completing Triangle's initial incarnation.
