Two Tons O' Fun

San Francisco vocalists Martha Wash and Izora Redman comprised Two Tons o' Fun. They began singing together in gospel ensembles and choirs, having met in the group NOW (News of the World). They gained initial recognition during the mid- to late-'70s as background singers for disco performer Sylvester. Their glorious voices capably supported his on the hits "Dance (Disco Heat)" and "(You Make Me Feel) Mighty Real," plus his albums.
