Centered around the songwriting of Jakob Armstrong, (youngest son of Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong) Ultra Q recalls the moody and angular energy of garage punk revivalists of the early 2000s. The band melded the influence of acts like the Strokes, Interpol, and the Killers with Armstrong's unique brand of angst on releases like their 2021 EP Get Yourself a Friend.
