Mezzo-soprano Varduhi Abrahamyan has been active in her native Armenia, in France, and beyond, specializing in bel canto roles and in the role of Bizet's Carmen. She made her recording debut in 2021 with the operatic recital Rhapsody.
Abrahamyan was born in the Armenian capital of Yerevan into a musical family. She attended the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory and then went on for further studies in Marseilles, France, where she won the Marseilles Conservatoire Prize.
