Village of the Sun

Village of the Sun is a loose-knit, 21st century spiritual jazz trio whose members are saxophonist Binker Golding, drummer Moses Boyd, and Basement Jaxx keyboardist/producer Simon Ratcliffe. The group's sound embodies uplifting, long-form spiritual and modal jazz innovations introduced by Alice Coltrane, Pharoah Sanders, Gato Barbieri, and Airto Moreira filtered through layers of ambient and EDM textures and global rhythms.
