With the fleetness and uplift of the power metal subgenre comes an occasional idea from a band that walks a fine line between silly and clever. For Austria's Warkings, that idea is Viking culture. The members dress up like ancient Norse warriors and perform material from albums like Reborn (2018), Revolution (2021), and Armageddon (2025) with bombastic abandon to the delight of fans and festival crowds, and the possible bafflement of outside observers.
