WIFE is the shadowy electronic pop project of Irish singer/songwriter James Kelly, who also recorded three albums with the acclaimed experimental black metal outfit Altar of Plagues. When that group disbanded, Kelly sought a different musical direction and looked to his love of electronic music for inspiration. WIFE's debut EP, Stoic, arrived in late 2012 on Throwing Snow's Left Blank label and blended elements of industrial, 2-step, and ambient music into broodingly beautiful songs.
