Biography
Progressive folk ensemble Wooden O, named for Shakespeare's famous theater on the Thames, blended jazz, classical, and psych-folk music into a heady brew that echoed the works of similar collectives like Gryphon, Comus, and early Jethro Tull. Led by recorder player James Harpham and featuring a myriad of stringed instruments, the group released only one record, 1969's highly collectible Handeful of Pleasant Delites. ~ James Christopher Monger
