Yahari

Formed in 1990 by middle-school students from the Mexican town of Nueva Rosita, Coahuila to participate in a local festival, Yahari (named after the Japanese word that means the unexpected) signed with a local label to release their debut album called Lo Inesperado in 1992. Mostly playing cumbia, the Colombian northen coast folk-dance music, Yahari recorded Mensaje en la Luna in 1993 and Me Late el Corazon, featuring the hit single "El Negro Bombón," in 1994.
