A Swedish occult-doom rock unit with psychedelic tendencies, Year of the Goat's unwavering faith in the dark arts and trippy, retro-metal/rock sound, which features plenty of spooky Mellotron and thick Hammond organ, has drawn comparisons to bands like Pentagram, Black Sabbath, Blue Öyster Cult, and Ghost.
