Young Tiger

Young Tiger was a central figure in the evolution of the calypso sound that dominated London in the years following World War II. Though not a calypsonian by strict definition, he was among the first generation of musicians to migrate from the Caribbean to Great Britain, and his recordings for the influential Melodisc label profoundly affected the myriad artists who arrived in his wake.
