Zwischenfall were a short-lived Belgian synth pop/new wave group active during the early '80s. They formed in 1982 and initially consisted of synthesizer player Michael Sass, bassist/vocalist Martin Urban, and guitarist/drummer Stephan Kraemer. Combining electronics with traditional rock instruments, they recorded some demo songs that caught the attention of Patrick Codenys, a member of EBM pioneers Front 242.
