Biography
Originally formed in the spirit of the rural, old-time zydeco style, over time the Opelousas, Louisiana-based group Zydeco Force began moving towards a funkier, more bass-driven sound reflecting a wide range of influences. Upon debuting in 1988, Zydeco Force comprised bandleader Bobby "Mann" Robinson, vocalist/accordionist Jeffrey Broussard (the son of Lawtell Playboys frontman Delton Broussard), his brothers Herbert on rub board and Shelton on guitar, and drummer Raymond Thomas.
