Tomorrowland 2013 Day 2: Armin Van Buuren Dedicates Set to New Son & More

Day two down, and Tomorrowland continues to bring an experience you can only imagine to life. That may be why ID&T named the campsite "Dreamville," because Tomorrowland is the festival of every dance music fan's dreams. In Axwell's own words during his Tomorrowland set on day two, the festival is "the Olympics of dance music."

Aside from the amazing artists at Tomorrowland, the festival is an experience all by itself - this is NOT your typical festival. There are numerous food vendors, a ferris wheel, the attention to detail is unlike anything else, and there are plenty more surprises. On day 2, the ladies of Tomorrowland made sure they looked their best with an outdoor beauty salon. There were hair stylists styling hair into the most intricate and elaborate designs - and they only took about 15 minutes per head of hair. A make-up artist was also on-site to beautify festival-goers with Tomorrowland-themed looks.

Day two hosted a number of special stages, featuring some very talented dance music artists. The butterfly stage transformed itself from the previous day into the Super You & Me stage, there was the Cocoon Heroes stage, a Full On Ferry stage for trance fans, a special V Sessions stage, the Q-Dance stage still going strong, and of course the incredible main stage volcano.

Imagine your favorite DJs had alter egos, and dressed as superheros? This idea became a reality at Tomorrowland. Several dance music superheros took over the Super You & Me stage, including Sandro Silva, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Tommy Trash, Martin Solveig (aka Super Solveig), Benny Benassi, and of course the lean green Mixmash machine, Laidback Luke.

It's astounding to see the main stage in action, not only for the stunning special effects and detailed structure, but also for the massive amount of fans that surround it. On day two, the main stage hosted much of dance music's best like Sander van Doorn, Zedd, Chuckie (who surprised the crowd and brought out Slash!), Knife Party, and Axwell. Avicii also took the main stage and not only treated fans to his new music, but also some Avicii classics and fan favorites. 

With a lightning storm over Tomorrowland and extreme heavy rainfall, Armin van Buuren took the stage, having traveled straight from the hospital where his new son was born! At the very beginning of his set, he shared a photo of his new baby boy with fans on the main stage monitors. As he expressed his joy, he declared that his set was dedicated to his new son. Welcome to the world, Remy! A big congratulations to Armin and his family.

Taking over V Sessions on day two included Eric Prydz, Nicky Romero, AN21 & Max Vangeli, Sultan & Ned Shepard, Jacob Van Hage vs. Loopers, and a special set from the one and only Pete Tong. Pete kept the crowd movin' and groovin', and V Sessions quickly went All Gone Pete Tong.

Trance fans gathered at Full on Ferry, enjoying sounds from W&W, Ørjan Nilsen, Cosmic Gate, Aly & Fila, John O'Callaghan, Shogun, Solarstone, Sied van Riel, and of course Ferry Corsten himself. 

With still one more day left of madness at Tomorrowland, there is way more still to come!
