Evesham, New Jersey mourned the loss of the Christina Grimmie on Monday night (June 13) when hundreds of family, friends and fans took to Marlton Memorial Sports Complex for a hometown vigil, where the late 22-year-old "Voice" star's brother, Marcus, offered folks an emotional speech.

During the memorial, Marcus, 23, gave a candid recount of the essence of Grimmie, who was shot during a M&G post-show on Friday in Orlando. "She loved this town, she loved this state, she loved singing, she loved the Lord and she loved me and she was my baby sister," he told the crowd. Marcus, who served as his sister's tour manager, played an important role during the tragic events by tackling the gunman, who has since been identified as 27-year-old Kevin Loibl.

During his speech, attendees learned an additional tidbit regarding the free post-show set-up. "I missed the first glimpse, but witnesses say she was arms open wide [to the shooter]. She had no idea and she treated everybody the same," he explained.

Marcus also took an opportunity to count his blessings and send condolences to the victims of the Pulse nightclub massacre, which took the lives of 49 and wounded 53.

"About four miles away from where we were staying, there was a huge tragedy to Orlando, to the U.S. to the LGBT community and to the whole world,” he explained. “I mean, 50 people dead, who knows who is injured. And I come home to this… I have no words. All of those people that died and are suffering. My heart goes out."
