Zayn Malik's Reason For Leaving One Direction Is Out Of This World

Let's take a trip down memory lane, going all the way back to 2015. On March 25th last year, most Directioners were trying to contain their tears when they found out Zayn Malik had officially left One Direction. But why DID Zayn leave? Did we ever really find out? Well, now we know after he gave a quick bite of info to Glamour (via Vanity Fair), and the reason is OUT OF THIS WORLD. No, really. In the words of Katy Perry, "It's supernatural, extraterrestrial."
Our dear Zayn tells Glamour that aliens have to do with his split from bandmates Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan. He said, "An alien spoke to me in a dream..."
Well ... if an ALIEN speaks to you in a dream, you obviously have to listen. What would have happened if he was abducted?!
But, are dream aliens really the reason for his departure? Of course, he probably had a little fun with the interviewer -- but you never know. Maybe he just wanted to go in his own direction. Earlier this year, he released his debut solo album Mind of Mine via RCA Records which hit the number one spot on the US Billboard 200 chart and features singles like "PiLLOWTALK" and "LIKE I WOULD" (which he performed at the iHeartRadio Music Awards back in March).
