It's a sad time for Drake and Rihanna as the two chart-toppers are currently mourning the loss of a super-fan by the name of Megan Flores, who passed away on Saturday (July 9) after battling cancer.
Back in March, the duo met 14-year-old Flores through the Make-A-Wish Foundation at the Miami stop of the pop titan's "Anti World Tour." Drizzy was so moved by his time with the fan that he even dedicated VIEWS to the teen, writing in the album's liner notes, "this body of work is dedicated to Megan Flores. I pray for your well-being every day."
After the teen lost her battle with progressive metastasized sarcoma, it was no surprise that the twosome took to social media to honor her life. On Sunday (July 10), Drake took to Instagram to share a photo of Flores with a touching caption. "Rest in peace my angel. I know heaven is celebrating today," he wrote. "Thank you for the moments and emotions we share I am blessed to have known you in this lifetime. @ovomegann."
Meanwhile, Rih shared a photo of the trio's encounter, writing a lengthy caption about what an inspiration the teen was to her. "I had the pleasure of meeting an angel on earth! After my show in Miami, @champagnepapi introduced me to Megan! She's inspired me so much with her strength and her perspective on life!" Rih wrote. "So fearless and kind! It's heavy news that I can't slide in your DMs anymore like I used to!! There was always a smile waiting for me there! You brightened any day! Rest up baby girl! We will miss you!!"
