M.I.A. And Diplo Make Up, Collaborate On New Track 'Bird Song'
August 1, 2016
Once upon a time, M.I.A. and Diplo were two peas in a pod -- musically and romantically -- but they experienced a major fallout and things got hella awkward. Nonetheless, it appears as if the pair have repaired their struggling relationship and collaborated on a new team-up, which was announced on Monday (August 1).
Based on a pair of new tweets from the rapper, the twosome worked out some of their differences and went as far as collaborating on a new song for the rapper's forthcoming album, which might or might not be her last. Co-produced by Diplo and Blaqstarr, the track is titled "Bird Song" and set to drop on August 12. This marks their first team-up since the controversial MC's 2010 album, MAYA.
Oh, and by the way, M.I.A.'s forthcoming LP is scheduled to be released on September 9. Mark your calendars!
