If "Love Is The Name," then that name is Sofia Carson. The 23-year-old singer/actress has had a very busy two years, starring in Disney's Descendants as Evie, daughter of the Evil Queen, as well as her role as Lola Perez alongside Sabrina Carpenter in the movie Adventures in Babysitting. But she also released an awesome debut single called "Love Is The Name," a song that we just cannot get out of our heads. Sofia recently stopped by iHeartRadio HQ in New York City where she performed her single, in addition to an awesome cover of Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself."
Accompanied by only a piano backing, Sofia performed a beautiful cover Biebs' chart-topping single from his most recent album Purpose. She even said that the song is "one of [her] favorite songs of the year."
Sofia is currently working on more new music (and filming a new movie A Cinderella Story: If The Shoe Fits), but thankfully we have "Love Is The Name" to hold us over until we can hear more. Back in April, Sofia told us during an interview that her single "Love Is The Name" is "a celebration of love. It's about living life in the moment, being right here, right now, and just giving life everything you got and just dance, because that's what I feel when I hear the song. I just want to dance the night away."
