Olympics: U.S. Women's Soccer Team Loses Against Sweden

Friday (August 12) was a sad day for the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team, who were eliminated from the Olympics in Rio after a 1-1 draw post-penalty kicks in a showdown against Sweden.

As per USA Today, the U.S. women's team was going for their forth straight gold medal, but lost in a quarterfinal match that went to penalty kicks. Team U.S. has played in the final every year since women's soccer became an Olmpic sport in 1996.
