“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” aired a “First Look” at next week’s episode on Sunday night. The 17-minute preview teased the family’s reaction to Blac Chyna releasing an emoji resembling Kylie Jenner getting slapped across the face.
The footage began with Khloe and Kourtney speaking to their friend Jonathan Cheban about the family’s relationship with Rob’s fiancee Chyna. Khloe admitted she didn’t celebrate Mother’s Day with Kris because Rob and Chyna were going to the party. “There’s a lot of tension unresolved with my brother,” she explained. Kourtney, however, attended the Mother’s Day party and said “everyone was totally fine and got along.” Kourtney even revealed she felt Chyna’s pregnant belly, further noting in an on-camera confessional, “My brother’s having his first kid. What am I going to do except support him?” But considering the family’s past bad blood with Chyna, Khloe said her sister was “being the most politically correct person” by speaking nicely about the model. Kourtney clarified, “No, she wasn’t over the top [friendly], but why would she be? It’s probably tough for Chyna.”
Later, Khloe drove around town with Lamar Odom, who she had been worrying about while away in Cuba. “I want to keep Lamar in a positive space, surrounded by positive people,” she said in a confessional. Lamar told her he planned on going away to a basketball camp for a few months, but she was hesitant about the idea. “Basketball is obviously Lamar’s passion and love,” she noted on-camera, “but going to a basketball camp is a big step and I don’t want to set him up for failure.” She further admitted, “There’s not a lot of trust there.”
Kim told Kourtney that she had a nice phone conversation with Chyna, during which “she basically told me that she’s doing animated emojis,” which would be dubbed “Chymojis.” Seeing as Kim previously released a collection of Kimojis, Chyna wanted to let her know about some of the emojis beforehand. “There was one of her kicking a tiger, like for Tyga,” Kim told her sister, but revealed that Chyna asked the developers to remove that emoji. “I think it’s super cool for Chyna just to give me the heads up,” Kim told her sister, adding that she was “so friendly” during the phone call and acted “totally normal as if nothing ever happened,” despite their past feud. “It’s nice that she’s running [the emojis] by Kim who’s the original Kimoji inventor,” Kourtney noted in a confessional.
The “First Look” ended there, but teased next week’s drama after the family discovers what appears to be an emoji of an animated Kylie getting slapped in the face by Chyna’s hand. “Aren’t you upset that Chyna made an emoji about you?” Khloe asks her sister in the promo, while Kourtney adds on-camera, “Just when everybody was welcoming Chyna into the family this comes out.” However, Kylie herself says in a confessional, “There’s so much misunderstanding going on.” Gossip Cop will have a full recap of the episode when it airs next Sunday.
